RULES GOVERNING CHURCH AND CHURCH FACILITIES
We are happy to make our facilities available for the spiritual, educational, cultural and civic activities of our parishioners and our church community. Use of the Church facilities is a privilege and not a right. So that we take good care of our church home, efficiently operate our facilities, as well as protect our parishioners and our property, it is important that everyone understands, respects, and follows the following rules:
1. Proper behavior, decorum and a reasonable standard of behavior shall be maintained at all times by all individuals using the Church facilities.
2. The entire premises are smoke free, both indoors and outdoors - we ask that you refrain from smoking on the church property including the plazas and parking lot.
3. All hallways and exit doors must be left free and unobstructed at all times.
4. Use of the Church's facilities is subject to the approval of the Parish Council, on a first-come, first served basis.
5. In decorating any area, parishioners may not alter, damage, or in any way deface the facilities, nor use nails, hooks, tacks, or screws into any part, without the prior written permission of the Church.
6. The only decorations permitted are those which may be placed on the floor or on the tables. Hanging, taping or suspending decorations from the walls or ceiling is prohibiited, unless expressly authorized in writing by the Church.
7. The kitchen(s) shall be kept clean at all times. All boxes, food and trash shall be promptly removed at the end of the meeting or event.
8. Set-up for meetings or events is limited to the two hours prior to the meeting or event. Requests for additional set-up for time, either on the day of the meeting or event or on any day prior to the meeting or event, will require specific approval by the Parish Council Chairperson, Treasurer and the Facilities Committee Chairman.
9. Breakdown time shall be accomplished within two (2) hours of the completion of the meeting or event, unless specifically agreed otherwise by the Parish Council Chairperson, Treasurer and the Facilities Committee Chairman.
10. Alcohol, which includes beer, wine, champagne or other alcoholic beverages, may not be served or brought onto the Premises, unless expressly authorized in writing by the Church. Upon conclusion of the meeting or event, the facilities are to be left in the same condition as existed prior to the meeting or event.
11. Custodial coverage will be provided by the Church at all times. Coverage during normal business hours will be provided at no additional charge, however, a meeting or event that requires special set-up or that extends beyond 5 PM will require reimbursement of costs for custodial services.
12. Church policy is that custodial staff should not be given additional compensation, gratuities or tips by the auxiliaries, schools, or parishioners.
13. Parking in the lot is only permitted in the designated parking spots along the fence - parking on or along the sidewalk or in the Fire Lane is prohibitied. Temporary loading and unloading of items is permitted, however, improperly parked cars are subject to being towed.
14. Handicapped Parking - Three parking spaces at the far end of the parking lot are marked and reserved at all times for handicapped parking, and on Sunday mornings during Badarak and fellowship, all parking spaces the church parking lot are limited to vehicles that display a valid handicapped parking permit.
